Why does it take so long for approvals?
I guess maybe different companies have different reasons. But I am wondering what they do when they are reviewing my website to approve or disapprove me.

Are they just too busy to get to me?
Is there some kind of committee that only meets once a week?

    Just curious.

well I cannot speak for everyone, but I know I check my "Pending Approval"'s every 30 min when in the office, and occasionally at home on my spare time.

I do not want to make my affiliates wait for me.

guess you're not one I'm trying to join huh? lol

I don't mind waiting a day or two at the most but when you try to join a program on a Friday night and still hear nothing by Wednesday night, it seems like forever.

3 or 4 (business) days isn't really that long. I've got 3 merchants at CJ I've been waiting on for 3 weeks. Some have merchants on CJ that they applied to last year and never got approved (or rejected).

That's why I like the SAS approach of showing who the auto-approving merchants are and why I've asked CJ to at least consider an option to withdraw an application from a merchant who drags ass on doing their job!

But I will at least give them a week or two. With having to deal with existing affiliates, handling any problems that may arise, checking through probably dozens of applications that may have come in before mine, etc, I'm sure some, not all, stay fairly busy. After 2 weeks though I start to get quite aggravated.

I check my mails constantly thru the day mon-friday and morn and evening on the weekends. Personally some am's are not doing there job right if you need to wait more than 3 days.

    An unhappy affiliate looks elsewhere.
