Not going to help much against any advanced application which monitors the clickstream/URI request stream. This is admitted in their own copy:
quote:

By now, you can see how you could be losing hundreds or even thousands of dollars every year due to affiliate link hijackers and bypassers.

Again, I am not talking here about the professional thief. I am talking about the person who thinks, "Oh, I'll save myself $15.00 or $30.00. Why should I give that money to George or Mary (even though they did the work to tell me about the product) when I can simply plug in my own affiliate ID instead."

I think we ARE dealing with professionals here.

You can accomplish what this "software" does yourself pretty easily.

If I'm not mistaken, this results in all of your merchant landing pages being framed. Some may want this, but, I believe there are still some third party cookie issues with some sites
In any case, I'm not going to frame everything just for this...

Thanks, though..

I am weary of doing anything that may disrupt my search engine rankings and cloaking that redirects to anti thiefware optimized pages is a form of manipulation that some search engines don't like even though this would seem to be an acceptable form of it.

The better solution would be to start a web site that is dedicated to raising money to pay some of the top progamers in the country to develope an plugin that webmasters can implement with the html on their web pages that would kill all forms of thiefware from appearing when a visitor accesses your site that contains affiliate links. One that prevents the visitors computer from hijacking your affiliate ID by implementing some sort of super cookie or something that recognizes when your afilliate ID has been changed and reverts it back to your id secretly before they arrive at the affiliate merchants site.

This is the only solution to thieves. Steal back what they have taken from us.

Contact me if you want to support this effort.

Thanks
