The other day I was showing a friend how to shop at my store. I picked a random link which just happened to be CompUSA and noticed a redirect while the link was loading. Has anyone else seen this?

Where did the redirect take you? Merchants often use a redirect once you are on their site, to get you to the page of the particular item you are viewing.

I have all my text and banner ads marked with SIDís. Usually when a customer clicks on an ad the address bar will read the address along with my SID. Usually the affiliate code and my SID show up when the customer arrives at the advertiserís store.
When someone clicks on the CompUSA banner ad you see the normal address with affiliate code and my SID in the address bar. Then a white screen comes up that state "click to continue" and within a few seconds the screen changes to the CompUSA home page, no affiliate codes and no SID showing in the address bar.

Just tried a banner here, it goes to this redirect page:
and the resulting URL is:
I don't see a PID in either, so I guess it's just in the cookie?
I'm trying a datefeed product link now....
also no PID, but sales DO track from the feed links

I tried your data feed and the same thing happened; I was redirected to the CompUSA site. So, apparently the redirect is proper. Iíd never seen this before, and with all the talk about parasites, well, I guess I got a little paranoid.
One interesting item. I checked my cookies file and found two cookies placed on my machine by both visits to CompUSA. One cookie was from CompUSA and the other cookie was from Liveperson.net. They both had the same time stamp which corresponded with the time I visited CompUSA.
