Why not come totally clean and amaze the ABWers with the amount of commissions you paid out to the BHO theftware folks. Treat it as a recruiting tool showing us how much money is now available for redistribution to domain bound affiliates. Merchants getting tired of double dipping sleezeball affiliates shoving incent offers into the faces of our hijacked shoppers is old news.

freedom, it's not freedom till you build a business model where you can leave and the commissions will still be there. :0).

    Mike,

They cannot divulge sales figures, obviously, but...

I was just hoping Haiko that one of these born again merchants would try something totally unique for restructuring their newly announced parasite free program. Telling folks their is $100,000/monthly in loosed commissions floating in the air makes for great PR. We all know the moment they ditch the BHO monthly double dip and hijacked commission costs they can afford to raise commission rates for all.

    Greetings All,

Mike and Charlie (Ecomcity.com) make a very valid statement in the posting listed below. Let us try to give you all some supportive evidence to our claims. Obviously, due to various confidentiality agreements and our access to privileged information we cannot divulge sales figures. What we can tell you is that you will begin to see evidence of our major changes all over the place, starting with the fact that there has been a regime change here at PacSun.com. Those fans of the parasiteware affiliates are no longer employed by PacSun. Secondly, check our networks (Performics and Commission Junction) and see that we have indeed severed our ties with the parasite pushers. Third, check PacSun’s public filings and financial performance through any of the major financial analysis groups. You will find that we are one of the only national specialty apparel retailers who continued to flourish over the last year and a half as others fell short. Lastly, we operate, as of January 2004, 876 brick and mortar stores in 50 states and Puerto Rico and as well as our online presence. I assure you that our brand and products are both lucrative and relevant in today’s marketplace, both online and off. We look forward to working with all affiliates in a parasite free future. Thank you to Mike and Charlie (Ecomcity.com) for your honest and open feedback. If you have any further questions or comments please do not hesitate.

    Greetings All,

As promised PacSun.com is officially parasite free (and have been for about 2 weeks). This should serve to strengthen our claims that we are committed changing our programs to better serve our affiliate base. We are feverishly working, both internally and externally, to implement the range of improvements we have planned for our programs. We appreciate your continued patience during this transitional period. If we can address any specific questions or concerns please feel free to contact us directly.
