June 8th, 2005, 03:21 PM #1Invisable parasites?
I posted this question in another forum and got no response...
Can someone tell me what this is?
I was cleaning up some html at my site and tightening up the html text so as to leave no blank lines. As I was pulling the text up the file page it suddenly refused to continue up, in order to fill a completely empty line. Although the line was totally blank, when I highlighted the empty line it performed as though there was text there. When I deleted the empty line, I then could draw my copy up to fill that "empty" line. (the same holds true with several other sites of mine) Is there such a thing as invisible text? Could this be some kind of parasitic code planted onto my site

If you are using FrontPage or something of the like, chances are you are trying to do something that it does not like. Most WYSIWYG editors have their own special way of formatting html that often includes complete lines of white space.
