    Loyal Affiliate Terminated
Hi, I have been CJ, Shareasale and Linkshare affiliates for a long time and I am a serious affiliate who work full time everyday and has 5 GREEN BARS in CJ for 2 years (just to prove that I am really serious in being affiliates). I doesn't actively work in LinkShare because it is not user friendly for me and I do not want to receive 1 check for each merchant. So long I have been working for just 1 merchant because it provide something similar to what I am working on.

And from 2 years of working with this merchant (receiving around $50-$150 promptly every month), suddenly I was suspended by them. It doesn't matter but what worst was few days later linkshare suspended me. So I wrote to them and here is what I've got.

LinkShare terminated me without investigating anything but just based solely on a complaint done by a host which just receive average 1 to 3 sales a month from me! This is really small money for me but I want to post it here so if any LinKShare quality team saw this, I think they need to do something on it. I will be thankful if the quality team can restore my account as well.

Your account was terminated because of multiple fraudulent transactions
performed through your account. We were alerted of this by our merchants who no longer wish to be partnered with you. Linkshare does not condone or
tolerate invalid practice performed through our merchant partners.

Sounds like you need to contact the merchant too as they have started the ball rolling on this one, do you know which merchant it is?

    Cheers

Why would you want to go back to LinkShare?
The thing to consider here....do you really want to work with LinkShare if they drop you without notice or explanation. This is a complaint that has come up here several times in the last month. LinkShare does not care about affiliates! They don't care if our checks are six weeks late. They don't care if you are a responsible person from a third world country providing value to this business. They don't care if you do this for a living.

If LinkShare had ever dropped me like that without explanation and then sent out a canned email like they did to you, I'd be gone from them and never look back.

I sure hope merchants are reading these posts to see the difference between networks and how affiliates are treated like second class citizens (or worse) by LinkShare.

They treat you like shit and you want to reward them by crawling back and providing them with more sales?

    Move on!

I just want to correct my above statement to say that not everyone at LS does not care. It is Mr. Messer that is directing the staff there with his attitude and business practices. I have had one very helpful person lately who I believe really does care.

    Angry Arrrrgh!
I am sooo glad that I read this forum topic!

(and I am really angry - grr!)
    (uncensored version: %@#$*&@#$!!!)

This is exactly why I posted in another forum topic asking specifically what affiliates want, need, love, & hate. I am a fledgling merchant. I have what I think is a dynamite product - and no idea how to go about selling it.

So I asked for advice , especially on affiliate networks. I am starting to believe that one of the best things I did so far was to NOT join linkshare or commission junction. By the way... every time I click on a link to their website I get a 404 page. Even from google. Perhaps my computer is trying to warn me to stay away.

Is there a network that doesn't meddle with affiliates? One that actually (gasp!) *cares* about the very people who are making THEM e-millionaires ?

Or do we all have to run around looking for each other?

    "Hi! I'm a merchant - wanna cyber?"

Hi! I'm an affiliate! Is your product worth my time? Will you actually pay me (on time, at all?!!)?"

This all seems like a very non business-like way to conduct business.

...sorry to vent. I hate it when good people get screwed.

I know which is the merchant, as I say I am only promoting that merchant. The reason I want to go back is that it is really unfair for me that I get kick away just because a host complaint that I send fradulent sales?!

What I am against now is their stupid policy where they can suspend an account based solely on some merchant's feedback! They should investigate and at most suspend my relationship with the merchant. But why should they suspend my whole linkshare account and cut me off my opputunities to thousand of others merchants.

Of course I will not work hard to crawl back to them, as I have CJ that appreciate me since day 1. I post it here so everyone know there is such case where LinkShare will terminate your account without a good reason.

    Redfish,

Again, this is an example of where LinkShare does not treat us like partners. Mr. Messer uses the word "partners" when he talks about us, but we are not treated as such. If a merchant does something wrong or something that may be wrong (perceived, but not yet proven), they invesigate and discuss with the merchant. In the case of an affiliate, they just push them off a cliff. No discussion, no investigation, just Get Lost!

    7-days,

"Partner" is not a good work. Maybe should be "Disposable Panties".

I think later I want to join because a merchant want me to promote their program, I will use them as a levarage to help me get my account back online. But that would be years later I think
