    S. Messer : How about support?
Most problems seems to be solved at Linkshare and I like the new tools.
But Linkshare is still not my favourite netwerk, because the terrible support. Or better, no support. In the past I have send over 10 support mails using your form, but never got an answer. I have the feeling I am shooting them into space.

CJ has a support ticket system and they always respond. The problem isn't closed until it is solved. This is what proper support should be.

Are there any plans on giving support from Linkshare or is ABW the only option?

ABWers: Please stick to the subject. So don't post specific personal problems in this thread. Post only your expereriences or ideas concerning the Linkshare "support" system. This an attempt to get some kind of support from ABW.

While I disagree with the premise that most problems seem to be solved, I strongly agree that a formal trouble ticket system would be a huge improvement.

Yes, knowing that your e-mail is logged in a system somewhere and not just dropped into limbo would be nice.

    Uphill,

I have suggested this many, many times to LS and Mr. Messer but, alas, another topic ignored by them.

    Hello Everyone,

With all the enhancements and changes on the affiliate side, Affiliate Support has been behind with the emails. Some affiliates call, email and use online chat, which has the reps doing triple the work on the same issue. I know that's not an excuse, but at this time they are working hard to get the emails caught up. You can always feel free to try online chat from within the help section of your account or call Monday - Friday 9am to 6pm EST. It would also be helpful if you send an email and then phone in, to let the rep know so they can delete the email.

Wouldn't a support ticket system be better. We can close it if a subject is solved and your helpdesk has an overview of all open tickets. If an affiliate doesn't respond to a reply within 3 days, the ticket will be closed at CJ. I think a support ticket system is better for everyone.

Notice we still did not get an answer about the support ticket system?

I can't even get an answer about the moderated thread. What are we going on now...three weeks?

It's not just Mr. Messer that is ignoring some questions. His staff is side stepping issues as well. That is probably why they don't want to do the moderated thread as it will finally make them accountable for answering all our questions, of which some are very important to us but not to them.

Maybe this is because just one or two methods don't work. Have been waiting 3-4 weeks now for a resolution to the datafeed download problems. Multiple posts and a few emails and still nothing.

Greg, the way I have my downloading setup is as a CRON job off my static IP server. When, not if, I start having the kind of downloading problems we've seen the last few weeks, I increase the number of 'tries' my CRON job uses per day - from 1/day up to 4/day. I also move the job to a slightly different time so I'm not crossing ftp sabers with someone else. Those changes seem to have helped. Jason and Kalila from LS have also been very helpful.

Thanks Micheck. I've tried this at different times of the day and still no luck. I'm using a batch file for mine that hasn't changed in months so it's not a change that is the cause, just one day it stopped working. I tried to do it manually but the same error each time. At the very LEAST I would expect LS to answer my email saying they are aware and are working on the problem. I know Noxid posted here but this is still an issue. I wouldn't be so upset if this just started yesterday or the day before but this has been screwed up for OVER 5 WEEKS NOW! The last time I even got a file was May 12 and those were 0 bytes. The only complete files I still have are dated April 9!!! Can't wait for the first merchant to call me complaining about outdated info, I will be quick to point them to this thread and the other thread about the download issue and the emails I sent. I understand issues can't always be resolved quickly but this is rediculous. I've been very, very patient and trying to not to stir up trouble but I see that's a worthless endeavor.

I had a problem of my script all of a sudden not downloading my datafeeds.

It stopped on its own about a week ago I had made no changes to the original script that had worked fine for months, yesterday it just started to download them again without me changing a thing. It might be worth trying again see if whatever it was that caused mine to stop has been corrected for yours.
