June 23rd, 2005, 12:57 AM #1I'm Royally Pissed Off About This..............
Since there is no unlimited time to fix a post.
Since there is no unlimited time to delete a post.
Since there is no warning about how long you have to submit a new post.
Since there is no Fking way to know that you might have just wasted your time if you take too long on replying to a thread because you're to slow to finish your reply to a post.
Since there is no way to get your text back............
I'm Royally Piss Off About All of This shit.
After I spent over 3 (three) Fking hours on my post to reply on this thread:
Premier Web Affiliates Revealed, Profiled
After I had that post read prove, no bs, no misspelling and ready to post...
The shit hit the fan.
First I was told that I was not online.
I refresshed the page and it wanted my log info.
After A few refresh page, I got a log in page.
So I loged in again, even after I can still see in the other windows that I had open that, I was still loged in......... no big deal.
But what Piss me Off big time was that my big 3 (three) Fking hours post was gone for ever and I can't even remember all the text that I had made, shit, that sucks......
Right now, I want to blow up, but since I am A capricorn, I know that shit happens for a reason.
While I am not too happy with that capricorn crap TAMPOCO, I am willing to .........
F that shit.
All I ask is for, at least:
Don't put a Post Reply Page Time Limit. if someone is replying to a post.
Mr. Piss Off Sal.
I will not check this post for any Typo, so deal with it.

By the way.
I really don't care that much about those three hours that I wasted (even if my ego still in pain), what I really care about is what I might post after that.
Not because of what I think, but because I may F... up in my English translation of what I wanted to say.

If I'm going to post something that'll take a while......... i do this:
Click START -> RUN -> (type in: notepad)
Enter text in there.
Copy and Paste text into clipboard
Because I know exactly how it is to lose something you've spend a long time writing.
June 23rd, 2005, 03:27 AM #9
Also, when I was replying to TrustNo1, I made a typo, so I tried to post that post on my spelling program to correct the typo..... but, instead of Copy, I clicked on delete.
This is a total BS, this is worse than (Microsoft Excel)
So what, I made A mistake (Big Deal.) but, when I right cliked again, I had no Undo option, so my entire post was gone.
Never mind, I must be on my Low Life Cycle, it's the 22nd-23rd any way.
Disregard this thread.

Some people don't understand how some of us try to make a post that make sense. (For some of you.)
Some people don't understand how some of us try to make a post in english, even if we're not that english grammatical perfect
Some people think they are perfect because they think that they don't make a typo on their post. (yea right)

Yeah, what Dynamoo said (except for Mozilla--I've never used that). I've lost posts too, and the longer a post is, the higher the chance of it disappearing.
But I figured you'd be even MORE royally pissed, to have lost a post you spent hours on, and then have someone come waltzing up right afterwards saying, "Just do a 'select all-->copy' before hitting post!"There is no knowledge that is not power. ~Hemingway

It almost sounds like the session timed out on you. That can be changed, I believe.
I really feel for you, thats happened on me a few times on another board. I get into the habit now to copy and paste into MS Word to check spelling and so I dont loose a post.

Sorry for the problems Sal. As kend says we have a one hour session, I can change that- ideas? 24hrs? - for those reallllllllllllllllllly loooooooooooooong posts

It has happened to me several time as well and it IS upsetting. Now, I try to remember to copy and past posts to notepad before I click on ANYTHING. I don't always remember but I try to.Comments are opinion unless otherwise noted. Remember, pillage first. Then burn. Half of all people in the world have IQs under 100. It's not a bit funny when you have worked a long time on a post to get it just right and poof! It is gone!
I feel for Mr. Piss Off Sal.
I am not offereing solutions or suggestions because I don't kow the answer. I guess, we all just have to be very careful when we make long posts. make copies until they are posted.
Some of Sal's are priceless. I hope he isn't discouraged.

Yes it really hurts to spend so much time on a post and loose it. I usually get mad, go kick something, then set and cry with a broken toe...
Now I write my post in another program where I can do the spell check and the other goodies, when I get it just right, I copy and paste into the message box.
June 23rd, 2005, 09:37 PM #21
Sorry to hear you wasted 3 hours of your day without a post to show Sal, that majorly sucks. Been there done that.
Now I find it necessary to chime in with everyone, and tell ya CTRL-Copy and CTRL-Paste from notepad or word do wonders for me.
Sometimes, I even save the post in word, do a spell check, grammar check, save again and then post.
sorry, couldn't resist.

Mr Sal. I understand - it has happened to me too.
I am a bad speller sometimes so I always try to double check everything, very frustrating when you hit the wrong button and lose everything!!Ebudae
