I'm a little confused on how coupon sites work. At the moment I have no intentions of doing a coupon site because it seems very labor intensive. I'm just a little curious because I do use coupon sites when I'm ready to make a purchase.

I have seen a few sites that promote Dell coupons. To my knowledge Dell does not have an affiliate program so how do these sites make money ?

I have also seen coupons for allposters. I am an affiliate for them and I don't recall seeing coupons mentioned in their affiliate area.

I have read through a few threads here and I noticed that many of the coupon sites are database driven. Is entering the data into the database still by hand ?

Dell has at least three affiliate programs.

    Dell Home
    and Dell Business
    and DellHost

Some coupon sites just promote coupons. Other coupon sites promote coupons, discounts, deals, free shipping, sales, special offers, clearance centers.

That's why you'll see non coupon merchants at some coupon sites.
