    I hate holiday weekends
Actually, I have been having a fine weekend. Houseguests who left on time. My son's 4th birthday tonight. Watching Sports Night on DVD.

What I hate is that my sales have VANISHED. Not just CJ, but SaS, indies, everything! Of course, my AdWords expenditures don't seem to have dropped at all. Maybe everyone is waiting until Tuesday to buy.

Sigh. Watching the money go out the window. And this right after June being a record month.

There's a reason army's wear uniforms even though it makes them easier to spot. Sometimes that's what you want. Uniforms suggest organization, power, and numbers. These, in turn, inspire fear. And, as any good operative knows, there is no more effective weapon than fear.

Yep, not a good time for sales for sure. My traffic is way down also. Time to just ride it out.

People are too busy traveling and visiting relatives to get online. Holidays'll do that.

    It'll be fine.

    Happy 4th to everyone tomorrow!

I have the same experience every holiday. Sales tank, clicks at the various networks tank, but somehow Adwords still manages to come up with the same amount of clicks on my ads (and charge me the same amount of money) as any other day. On the other hand, the clicks on my Yahoo ads (and therefore the money spent) drops like a stone along with the sales. Strange Adwords....very strange.

Try and think of those "lost" sales as actually delayed sales Then relax and hopefully you enjoy your holiday.

Yep, sales were next to nothing over the weekend Holiday weekend + Live8.

Same thing with weather: hot day sales plummet. Raining sales rocket. It's amazing how the weather can have such an impact on revenue.

    Sales/traffic?
How about sales/traffic? If that ratio has dropped then I would worry more.

The best thing to do on a Holiday Weekend..

Is take a HOLIDAY.. leave -- get -- go
Somewhere else besides sitting in front of your PC looking at sales that will not come because everyone is on HOLIDAY..

ENJOY YOUR LIFE MORE on these days and weekends..

Work for the day after the holiday or the week after or before the holiday..
most holiday weekends are followed up by a week of good sales..

Don't sit at home and watch your sales drop and get depressed..
get out and have some fun - you only live ONCE..!!!

Spend some of that hard earned affiliate money on some good times that will refresh your brain and make you feel more like working on your sites!!!!!

IMHO - There is nothing you can do about Holidays...... BUT ENJOY THEM..
