    Random Domain Name Generator
Found this posted on another forum, thought it was a pretty fun idea. Every time you refresh the page, the site generates 25 random names. Lotsa rubbish, and no keywords in the domain name, but if you are taking the approach of creating short, memorable names, maybe you will see one or two that are keepers.....

I like to play around with nameboy.com - but they aren't fast enough at updating - there's too often names they suggest that are already taken... maybe 1 in 10 that it says are good are already taken. Still a good brainstorming tool for me.

Nameboy is really fun, I always get a good laugh out of the results sometimes, really creative names.

Just please don't register names with nameboy. The guy who runs it once tried to promote the great program where he paid spammers to spam, so that you would join his anti-spammer list. Ugh.

I don't, thanks for reminding me about that - I forgot to specifically say it's just a tool I happen to use for name ideas only.

Like the rest of you I bet, names just hit me... yesterday I thought of getting...

was using an online calculator - calculated the number of minutes in a month... 43829.something... thought a time-saving or office supply name might be www.43829.com
43829 minutes in a month, we're here to save you a few...
minutes in a week, 10080, already registered...

was looking at a picture of some hands... thought of www.16fingers.com and a logo with this hand, a single hand, with 16 fingers, maybe a typing tutorial site... we even taught this guy how to type...

Yeah, I'm pretty much full of stupid ideas. Wanted to open a pawn shop with a twist - where I'd exchange shrimp for goods people want to swap... The Prawn Shop...

I also find myself at these sites when brainstorming for keywords:
    Synonyms: http://www.rhymezone.com
    Idioms: http://www.ohiou.edu/esl/english/vocabulary.html#Idioms

Idioms have a way of having meaning, but not having been gobbled up by the domain name players who buy all the standard word combinations.

    Very funny!

Didn't know that about nameboy, I'll keep it in mind. Haven't registered from there, though, I always go back to the two other spots where I have a bunch of names regged.
