I hope this is ok to post since all of this info is factual and something that affects most of us. Please edit if I am out of line posting this.

Someone is using our sites to get traffic on his site. It is providing links to OUR sites and our site names over and over to generate traffic intended for our sites, yet when you click, it takes you to his sites…

I checked and almost all of the major coupon sites are on there, and if I search for my OWN site in google, this guy comes up #5 and 6

He has a spam page for every site listed at the bottom of the page where my site is listed. You can check to see if your site is there, probably is. BUT these pages are bringing him google traffic on YOUR SITE NAME.

Here is his contact info if anyone wants to contact him, your site is probably listed if it is a coupon site.

Here is the way each page is laid out, and you can see your own page by clicking on the link to your site at the bottom, which is really a link to his site. Search for yourself in google too…

Thanks Anne, already sent a cease and desist. If they don't I will let my lawyer deal with it. I have screenshots.

I have my 2 of my sites there. But the content is not mine. It seems they have the same text for each coupon site. Just changed the site name. I do not think it is causing any trouble or getting much traffic now. But this is WRONG and should be reported to the networks and SEs.

He seems to be funneling all the traffic to a page with the definition of the word coupon with a google ad at the top. I don't see any other links. Very strange but he's probably getting a few clicks.

Actually, search for your site name on google if it is there on his page. I have tested eight sites and all he comes up 2nd - 6th position in google for the titles of the sites I tested...

He is getting more than a few clicks. And redirecting everyone to some coupon sites he is paid to advertise for.

This traffic gathering method should be called the "keyword cesspool" technique.

As long as he wasn't infringing on trademarked names he'd be OK but I fear that GoogleBot will one day choke on this kinda site and someone will have to perform the heimlich to save GoogleBot.

You can probably also report it to google adsense since that seems to be what he is linking to.

e-travelbug.com/ redirects to another url (toronto spelled backwards) with a forum, "for people all ages". NOT! This site is also owned by Tony Sung. What a piece of work this one is.

I would contact his hosting company, it looks like e-travelbug and coupongenie are both hosted on globat.com.

Not all pulled. But he did change the pages of the URLs listed above.

If you go here http://www.e-travelbug.com/coupons/ and click on "Travel Coupons" on the right, you're taken to http://www.21stcenturycoupons.com/ . Scroll down and there's all the links.
