Help LinkShare change their search function
over the years, and after repeated attempts, I have never seen what might be such a simple issue be sooooooo avoided. Heck, I have never gotten an answer (nor others have either), much less a solution.

There need to b changes at several levels on the LS search

    1. Find a Merchant Search : needs to allow people to search by keyword and product to find merchants that sell the products they want to promote. This would entail one of the following
    a. That merchants have keyword files that they load with product specific info and other relevant keywords
    b. That those who have an IPL or Merchandiser feed can have that info searched by the Merchant finder.

Both of the above would make it easier for an affiliate to find a merchant selling product X.

    2. The link finder system, while it does presently have a search, it needs to be set up to not be "Link Type" specific, i.e. be able to search from the Main links page, or have a special "Search Links" page where search parameters can be applied. Then an affiliate can again search the banners by type, size, keyword or title. This does put more epmphasis on the merchant to ensure their banners are better described, and those that do will benefit.

    Cheers

Unfortunately, Chris doesn't represent Linkshare. He's an Outsource Program Manager for a number of merchants, many of which use Linkshare.

I have a long list of "things I'd like to see" for LS, gradually feeding them through.

    Cheers
