    Double Cookie - Quick Question...
    Just a quick Q...

Affiliate 1 sends a user to a CJ merchant....
(his cookie is therefore in place on the user's computer)....

HE DOESN'T BUY ANYTHING....BUT HE DOESN'T CLOSE HIS BROWSER'S WINDOW EITHER...HE JUST GOES BACK TO GOOGLE AND KEEPS SEARCHING...

    5 MINUTES LATER....

Affiliate 2 sends that same user to the same CJ merchant....

    Who gets the credit?

Thanks in advance for your replies!!!!

    last cookie gets the sale
If visitor buys from affiliate 2 site, affiliate 2 gets the sale whether your page is still up on their computer or not. The last link clicked gets the cookie and the sale.

Unless of course it's a CJ preferred super parasite infested merchant, then it really doesn't matter which link is clicked, you'll probably never see the money. These affiliates get rewarded you know!

Affiliate 2. It doesn't matter if it's the same browser window or not, 5 minutes later or a different time frame. Every time CJ servers get called to because of an affiliate link click, the cookie is updated.

So return days are really just hype, right?

Shoppers determine what has value and they like coupons. Stop manipulating who set the cookie just because you do not like coupon and promotional sites.

No. At least not in relation to last cookie in policy. If Affiliate 2 never entered the picture, then Affiliate 1 would get credit. A customer clicks on your link, but doesn't make the purchase at that time. Two days later they go back to the Merchant' site via direct type-in and make the purchase. The Merchant has a 30 return day policy. You get the credit.
