Several times a week I receive spam email to my web site addresses from some "charity" group who want me to contribute merchandise or cash. These people seem to think that because I have a web site and publish my email address that I'm fodder for their fundraising machine.
Firstly I'm not even certain all these individuals represent genuine charities. Rarely does anyone mention being a 501c NPO. Secondly, spam is spam is spam, right? Or wrong?
Do other people get these emails? What do you do about them? Do you report them as you would any other piece of spam, tell them to buzz off, ignore them?

I send them my CC information and tell them to take what they need
Sometimes I'll add my SSN if need be.

If I was going to do something of a charitable nature I'd be looking at home area first.
Unsolicited begging is spam; you just happen to be on a sucker list. Nothing wrong with ignoring it.

Honestly, I ignore it. I know I should probably report them, but I get these far out emails and I just can't be bothered... If I were to promote anything charitable, it would be for a charity I am familiar with, and that I choose to help - not because they came begging via spam at me.~Lisa - Brilliant Mastermind, or Nut? I've been online so long at least three quarters of the Nigerian spammers are holding money for me. Let's give them the addresses of those charities that need so much . . .
