The Go! Team - and the funny thing, couldn't find their album for less than $30, but itunes had it for $10. Hadn't thought of using itunes as a cheaper alternative to imports, but I will be promoting them that way shortly.

Studying Joe Walsh's guitar style a bit, so listening to 6 different versions of Funk #49 to get a few different takes drilled into my head.

On a side note....it seems odd how folks think Joe Walsh suddenly popped up out of the blue to join the Eagles; half of the Eagles guys played in Walsh's band first.

I'm with ya on that one Danay - 3 of my fave acid jazz groups right there (Destiny is a great tune as is Lebanese Blonde).

Really into a lot of mellow stuff these days though especially while I'm working - I like Vangelis, almost anything from the Buddha Bar CD collections (St. Germain, etc.), B-Tribe, Telepopmusik, Manu Chao, Boards of Canada, Bjork, Tricky, Esthero (from Toronto!)...

Also love Coldplay, 3 doors down, Puddle of Mudd, Default, Nickelback, David Usher, u2, Sting, Juanes, Gypsy Kings (with or without Alabina), Buena Vista Social Club...

In the car, while I clean, or when out with friends, I love Trance/Deep tribal house tunes and my hip hop (Common, Mos Def, One Be Lo, K-os, The Game & more) as well as reggae when I'm feeling energetic.

Pretty well rounded I'd say.... LOL Just depends on my mood for the moment.

Right now, Mr. Blue Sky by ELO - never fails to put a smile on my face.

Recently I've rediscovered Beethoven as the BBC made all 9 symphonies free to download for a limited time.

Otherwise, I'm busy filling my new iPod with the tunes of my youth to drive my Alfa around our rural windy roads to - highly recommended! latest aquisition is London Calling by the Clash.

Oh - Mr. Bojangles has just come on now (Neil Diamond) - ain't iTunes great with the listen to a preview and then download individual tracks?

CC, shhhh! Don't tell people about Joe Walsh! Next you'll be spilling the beans about Boz Scaggs.

Right now I have "The Last Waltz" (The Band) in the car and Louis Prima in my office CD player.

Last night we saw Springsteen in concert. I thought it was dreadful but hubby (a hardcore Springsteen fan) was blissing. Two weeks and we'll see Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. I'm really excited about that.

At least Mr. Scaggs got his turn in the spotlight.

The guy that did some of the hot lead guitar work that made Ace Frehley a guitar hero didn't even get his name listed. Hourly wage at union scale then seeya later.

Wow Liz, have you been checking out my MP3 collection?

We all take turns here blaring our tunes, I love it when it's my turn to DJ.

Although I can dig top40, I get that thrown at me from all directions!

as of now, I am listening something I recently got .. it's a tribute to pink floyd, the album is called pigs and pyramids. 5/5 .. it's just super.

Just a little while before that, it was white stripes - get behind me satan. (my favourites, blue orchid and denial twist, but all of the songs are mind blowing)

and after listening to all that heavy music, I guess I will let tori amos in "tales of a librarian" sing through my speakers. for something soft and sweet to fall into the ears.

I'm currently hooked on Jack Johnson's Brushfire Fairytales. Other than that, it's just whatever happens to be on the radio....

These are always fun. It's interesting to see what folks are listening to!

Lately, here's what has dominated my "playlist" ...

The Benjamin Gate "Untitled" (debut CD)
John Reuben "Professional Rapper" Must pick up his new one...
    Jean-Luc Ponty "Individual Choice"
Relient K's debut CD (must also pick up their new one)
Been hung up on Five Iron Frenzy's early stuff lately, too, especiall the "Quantity is Job 1" CD. Noah loves the "These Are Not My Pants" mini-'rock opera'.

Well, I'm what my friends call a "barber-nerd". I sing in a Sweet Adeline Chorus and in a barbershop quartet (4-part A Cappella harmony) So, I spend my days listening to CD's from various International Championship Quartets, trying to listen and learn. (listen at work - sing along at home)

    Currently listening to:
    Fanatix (women's champ - 2002)
    Brava (women's champ - 2004)
    Gas House Gang (men's champ - 1993)
    Rural Route 4 (men's champ - 1986)

    In Harmony,
    Sheri
