    Great stuff.

I give him 10/10 for knowing the best way to get rid of scum.

When is he going to start on the parasites?.
One day parasites and their ilk will be made illegal, I bet a few Lawyers will be pissed off when the day comes.

I can't advocate murder, even for a spammer.

Well, who knows why he was actually murdered. It's my guess that if he doesn't care how pissed off people get at him for sending out millions of spam-mails everyday, there's a good chance that he's pissing people off in other areas of life too.

I could name quite a few thieving assoles that deserve to die.

If they are happy to steal from others and take the food from childrens mouths they deserve to die!

I would have no problem pulling the switch.

But the article didn't say he was stealing from anyone! He was just advertising (albiet via spam) his sh*t!

I can't agree with Nish's "no one deserves to die," but I sure don't think anyone deserves to die for spamming a legit offer.

    Not necessarily.

Take VistaPrint, for example. Lots of people spam their offers (which, of course, they will say they don't authorize). But, they're a legit company who delivers as promised.

Actually I mean it in regards to the parasites really, but never mind lets include the friggin spammers and cookie stuffers as well.

As far as I am concerned they know it is illegal so kill em!

"The more we kill the less will be left to do it" thats my opinion and I'm sticking with it.

I was only joking... but I would say it is debatable to what exactly consitutes a "legit" offer.

The company may be legit but the offer may not be noted as legitimate if the end-user didn't intentionally opt-into it.

I can see valid points from both ends, as it is still legit from the companies end.

    It's still legal in Russia...
Although if a person's going to get his head bashed in that makes the legality a bit moot, for him!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeew......... What can I say?! Sad...

I doubt it's because of spam. People that kill, don't use computers in Russia...

Sounds like the Russian Mob got skimmed on their take of his spamming activity. Wonder if Opt-in-RealBig is sending his family a bouquet of cans?

Yep, Leader has the gist of it, the various legalities might benefit relatives with some closure, but that's not gonna do him much good. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing spammers punished, but beating them to death in the head seems rather drastic. One almost hopes there was some other reason involved, but being the top spammer in Russia would probably have made him a target somewhere along the line. Especially if he was making good money at it. Maybe there's someone else wanting to compete with or buy out his business.

Due to inflated PPC prices the spammers top competitor suffered a hit in advertising costs and declining ROI. After hours in board meetings, the vote was unanomous to decrease advertising costs to compensate for a contracted hit man. After one night of the hit mans handy work the company has already seen a 120% increase in Q3 revenue.

Quite brilliant... I don't know why I didn't think of it.

Can't say I feel all that sorry for him. He KNEW he was pissing a whole lot of people off and that some were quite angry. He KNEW that he was bound to run into a fruitcake some day. He surely knew there was risk in doing something that unpopular. He assumed those risks in exchange for money. So, if it caught up to him, well, that is the chance he knowingly decided to take.

mosenws is a little bit real news, little bit weekly world news. I am guessing this is on the weekly world news side. I have yet to see any confirmation past other people blindly quoting this source. So while a "fun" little article, I wouldn't put too much faith in it.

Though I find it funny - people making news stories from this one, quoting little bits, passing it off as real news they know about - not just questionable sources they pass along. Makes a good case why small internet news sites are not trusted.

    "Russian Spammer Murdered..."

Just the title of this thread is amusing and made me giggle.

Now I'll go read the article and feel sorry for the dead spammer's mother. ;-)
