    Getting googlebot to eat your XML feed
    I have been doing this technique with Yahoo, and now Google offers a similar functionality. If you have a site with a syndication feed, go to and add the feed to your personalized google page. The bot will come calling and AFAIK it is identified as "googlebot".

    Not saying this will get you any SERPS but if you have a new site with fresh content and a feed, it probably can't hurt.

    Thanks for the tip Tim. I went right ahead and added my feeds. This combined with my Google Sitemap should make for some tasty spidering.
