Well, this cud have various meanings.... however the most likely cause is that you have not sent your tax details and W9 form to commission junction. you need to fax this to 8188795284.

you may want to use the AAQ feature in order to know why the payment was declined.

read their FAQ again. Or just read the first email they sent you when you applied for the account. It must have come with an attachment.

I'm new to CJ and I didn't see this specified anywhere... I looked in their FAQ and I never got an email from them saying anything about having to fax them tax forms.

Does anyone have a direct url where this info could be found?

    Thanks in advance.

This is an old info I got from CJ long ago.....

CJ is now requiring all new publishers to fill out tax forms. CJ can not legally 'give advice' on filling out these forms. However, we can provide the relevant links to the US Government Internal Revenue Service's official web site.

The W-9 is for US taxpayers. This is the link to the PDF:
    http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf

This link is to the instructions:
    http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/iw9.pdf

If your computer cannot read files in .pdf format, you should know that the .pdf reader (Adobe Acrobat) is available from many locations, most notably www.adobe.com and www.downloads.com. It is free.

Please fax this completed form back to us at the fax number (805) 560 0776. Or you can send it by post,

    Attn: Finance
    Commission Junction
    1501 Chapala St
    Santa Barbara CA 93101
    USA

The form is also available at http://www.irs.gov/forms_pubs/forms.html Select the W9 Tax Form, print it out, complete the form (include your Commission Junction Account Number) and fax the form to (805) 564-8298

Current and future payments are on hold until you provide us with the requested information.
I found this new link to the forms and publications resource page: http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/lists/0,,id=97817,00.html

    and....

Sal, thanks a lot for the information, but I probably should have been more specific.

As far as taxes and the irs, I have all that set up, no problems there... I was asking for a link to something on CJ that explains this policy that you have to mail them tax forms...

I thought I filled out that stuff when I signed up and I know they have my tax ID.... I'm just looking for something official on their site that says "we need you to fax us blah blah blah"

Sorry for the confusion and thanks again for the effort you put into answering my question.

I would recommend using AAQ on CJ to find out what's going on. I think everyone is just guessing that it's tax form related, and it may or may not be that. CJ should be able to let you know exactly what the problem is pretty quickly.

Also, I changed the title of the thread to something more descriptive. That should draw more people who might have answers and will be more helpful if anyone has similar problems and searches in the future.

Now can we make a list of what could be the possible reasons for declining payment to an affiliate. Let me put two of them which instantly come to mind:
    1. Tax forms and associated
    2. Non compliance with CoC.

Can someone think of any more?

affiliate4all... maybe it was you who didn't quite read all of my question or Mr. Sal's response.

He clearly stated that it was OLD INFO and I politely asked him, or anyone else, if they had a CURRENT link to CJ's policy regarding having to mail them tax forms.

And I stated that I did look for it in CJ FAQ. You said you found it in the FAQ, so maybe instead of being rude about it, you could simply post the link to the page on the FAQ and help me out.

Mr. Sal, again, I appreciated your answer even though it wasn't exactly what I was looking for.
