    Thumbs up Yahoo! Paid Submission
I know this is probably an old question, so it may sound like

but I was wondering if the Yahoo! paid submission, if accepted, does really increase your traffic?

Someone please paint me a pretty picture here since I just paid up.

Well I hope they don't take my money and run.

    Thanks,
    William

From my experience, it provides very little direct traffic, but the listing can increase your PageRank which would indirectly increase your traffic (through Google). I'm not sure it's worth the money, but I've continue to renew my listings.

I've found it to be worthwhile for most of my sites. Some direct traffic (in some cases), some indirect benefits.

    Good luck,
    Ross

I'll try anything just once, how much did your PR go up and what were you marketing?

    Thanks.

Could you tell me any stats on how many uniques you average from Yahoo! a month per site? Also the nature of your website?

    Thanks.

Must be strange responding to my own message, but out of curiousity, has anyone been turned down?

It's really hard to isolate where PR changes come from. It's not like the Yahoo Directory was the only link I received between updates.
