You're barely forming complete sentences and you're not giving us the slightest amount of details on what software you're using or anything, so it's hard to be of much help now, isn't it?

    Well sorry for that..
Well i need a concept behind url blocking in general....like...if we start a network capturing on our ethernet card.....and then we try to open
    www.yahoo.com/movies
so we c that there is a command executed some thing like this
    GET movies
so i was just thinking if we could just get that string some how ...so that we can do do string compare....and if it matches simply drop that packet....its just an idea.....since i want to develop a program for our bandwidth manager box....which is developed by our company...i want to develop a C program fro it so that it can be embeded into the chip of the box...so the final outcome is to make that box block the specific URLs....for the clients accessing the network...since that box already had a capblity of blocking users thru ips.....although...if we block websites thru ip....we will be blocking the whole server as such...which we dont want.
    we just want like
    www.yahoo.com/movies
    www.yahoo.com/news
    to be blocked..
hope i can get some help regarding this
    thanking u
