    Question Yahoo.com
24 hits since my link went live in their directory on August 1, 2005.
    Predictions for the next year?

Does it get more traffic the longer it's listed in there?

Should my site get indexed better in some of the major engines?

Was this worth the $300 investment?

I'm hoping it helps raises PR along with alexa ranking.

I have never thought there was much real search-value in directories like Yahoo or DMOZ as a true search engine. Why not do a regular yahoo or google search and get ALL the possible results?

I don't search these directories....ever. Nothing against them, I would just prefer an all-inclusive search. They make for a good backlink and perhaps someone (else) might search them for links to fill up a directory page.

Doing the math. $300 dollars worth of $0.20 clicks would be 1500 clicks. You are getting about 3 a day so you will have about 1100 after a year.

Huh? How, people not going to the directory?

You are in a crowded, crowded market using an extension most of america doesn't trust... I think you need more than a yahoo directory mention to build brand recognition.

Do some keyword research, find phrases that aren't as competitive as most, and try to get some rankings on those.
