    Sugar Shock
Ack! I have sugar shock from writing sappy ad copy for Christmas pages.

Does anyone have a sure cure for this malady? Reality TV? Horror movies? Insulin?

Help me before I abuse the last saccharine adjective in my vocabulary!

I'm told aspartame acts like a physic when taken in larger quantities.

Geeze, Herb, if I wanted a drastic remedy I'd take Visicol and sign up for a colonoscopy.

Surely a kinder, gentler solution is available?

    What?

You mean your ad copy isn't sincere?

    For shame!

Don't judge Miss Donna. I'm saving up to remodel our bathrooms. Surely that justifies emotionally manipulating vulnerable shoppers with good credit.

Besides, isn't separating people from their hard-earned cash a keystone of the American Dream?

I was thinking more of its effect on an unsuspecting public.

Told ya it'd cure a sappy mood right quick!

(I actually didn't even look at what they were saying on that site. I figured just seeing whose site it was would be the entire cure, LOL!)

Hahahaha! I did a mouseover first. Not clicking on any links from the likes of that crowd. Might get cooties.

I finished the sappy ad copy at lunchtime and decided I'd had enough for one day. I ate an onion sandwich and munched some garlic stuffed olives. Got rid of the sugar high immediately.

Still, it took a couple of hours to get the Christmas carols out of my head.
