    Need some CSS help
    First I have three columns - Left, Middle, and Right.

    Inside the Middle column, I have two boxes side by side and then another box underneath those two that spans the width of the column.

    I am having trouble with the position of the box under the two smaller ones. When I use "clear: left" it looks perfect in Mozilla, but in IE, it is pushing the box down to clear the left column, not the box above it.

    Here's my CSS code. I'm hoping someone has a work around for this.

    HTML Code:
    div#infobox1
    {
    	margin: 0;
    	position: relative;
    	float: left;
    	width: 300px;
    	padding: 0 5px;
    	color: #000000;
    	background-color:#ffffff;
    }

    div#infobox2
    {
    	margin: 0;
    	position: relative;
    	float: left;
    	width: 300px;
    	padding: 0 5px;
    	color: #000000;
    	background-color:#ffffff;
    }

    div#infobox3
    {
    	margin: 0;
    	padding: 0 5px;
    	color: #000000;
    	background-color:#ffffff;
    	border: 2px solid #5c5ca1;
    	position: relative;
    	clear: left;
    	}
    Thanks for any help,
    Suzie

    That darn cross browser problem.
    Seems IE is always the browser that needs the Special attention...like daddy Gates didn't give it enough attention.

    Looks like you might need a hack to help you over this.
    here are some recommened sites

    http://www.mezzoblue.com/css/cribsheet/

    http://www.quirksmode.org/css/csshacks.html

    Hope the hacking goes well.

    I was just about to give up on this and use a table for the two small boxes.

    Thank you so much for those links.

    From the quirksmode link I followed this link http://www.complexspiral.com/publica...aining-floats/
    and found the answer that I needed.

    I used a horizontal line at the end of each small box which pushed the boxes to their full width in IE.

    Works like a charm!

    Thanks again!

    Nice Job, Glad I could help out.

    Always a nice feeling when you get your code sorted out and your end result is what you envisioned.
