    view.pl
    Hello,

Back in July I had started to install the Calenders.com script. At that time I got hung up at the view.pl spot when I received a 500 internal server error.

Since then I have read all the suggestions, FTP'd it over and over again, thinking I have missed something and then added the information from the
htaccess-directory.txt & htaccess-homepage.txt to my .htaccess thinking that this may be my problem but I still get the same error.

I know that there is something very simple that I did wrong but I can't seem to figure it out.

The weird thing however, which may be my problem is that when I look at "edit" my htaccess I see all the lines necessary but when I view the htaaccess all I see is "Options -Indexes " Could this be it?

    Thanks!

I assume that you mean that you're getting a 500 error when you try to access:
    yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/dyse/view.pl
That does not involve .htaccess file. See: Web server generated errors with view.pl

If you can access yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/dyse/view.pl and the 500 error only shows up when you try to access any of the shop's virtual URL's (e.g.: yourdomain.com/shop/), then it's the .htaccess file that needs fixing. See: Web server generated errors with .htaccess

    Thank you!

I think that I will delete it all and start over from the beginning. I had to have missed something on the way.
This time however I'll print out the instructions and highlight them as I go along.

Ok. I'll admit it. I only see what I want to see.

After hours of going over the instructions line by line, I finally saw how stupid I am.

When I saw the line "It is assumed that your perl path is /usr/local/bin/perl" and I checked my path I thought that I was seeing the same path as above. But DUH,
    mine really is usr/bin/perl.

The instructions are excellent if you actually read them CORRECTLY.

    Now on to customizing.

    Thanks!
