After weeks of inactivity all of a sudden (after this upgrade) I'm starting to show sales again at CJ. It makes me wonder whether my gut instinct that something wasn't kosher with tracking at CJ wasn't right all along. I've changed nothing at all, so am at a loss to find any other explanation. Also, if it was only me I could understand that perhaps I was doing something wrong, but I've seen other affiliates go through the same thing over the last few months. I guess I'd best keep quiet and enjoy the moment for as long as it lasts.

    Cool
I have not done a thing. This activity was for just the first ten days of August so it was all pre-upgrade or "P-U" if you will.

Quite the opposite here. Sales less than half of normal from 11th to today, even with slightly steadier traffic than normal.

The biggest surprise for me is that anything got tracked at all, even without test purchases.

Looks to me like an SE smiled upon you...any one of the big 3 (but especially Y or G) can make a nice spike like that even if they only pick up one or two hot products

That's a helluva (NICE!) spike, Brian. Cool that it happened in one of the "dead" months. Let us know if you figure out how and why it occurred.

Ever since the 2nd week of August, I have been eating s***
I promote mainly financial offers. Maybe everyone is having too much fun in the sun to worry about finances?

I think the consensus is that July and August are lousy months for Internet sales. Hang in there ... they'll be back, as soon as the sunburn starts to hurt and school resumes. :-)

    Google, Yahoo, and MSN.

If you don't think MSN's big enough to qualify as a big engine, just compare its traffic with a comparable listing on AOL, AltaVista, or Teoma

Well I jumped the gun as usual. Since the upgrade on the 11th I have not registered a single sale or click. I am hoping once reporting is caught up my sales will 2 but I am not holding my breath. I fully understand that an 8 times increase on commissions in and of itself was an anomaly.

Oh I almost forgot. Almost all of these sales of which there are a total of 40 have been mysteriously reversed. 25K in sales and 800 in commish in the 10 days prior to this "upgrade" with none since smells very fishy to me. Ofcourse this sales came from mysterious sales which resulted from NON clicks. Seems to me that these were not "cookied" sales as some have mentioned on this board previously but rather these sales came from a domain which I only recently created a CJ pid for. Very odd.
