The title says it all.

I'm in but there are definite problems. Almost comical.

I received the log in box with the numbers after the login name. It wouldn't let me in.

Well, I'm in but it has lost all my sales data. Merchant payment history is only showing one merchant back in March and April.
You think maybe they are running this on Windows 2000 and it got infectd by that latest worm?
August 17th, 2005, 06:27 PM #5
It's actually worse than I thought. They've lost half my data on checks that have been sent. Seems the have nothing for the last couple of months. Only the stuff before that. Anyone else seeing this.
Oh, too funny. They show I was paid $11.04 for April and $5.50 for May. Where are they getting these crappy figures?
How much you want to bet we won't see any \announcement at log on about this?

We are performing system maintenance (started 6pm tonight) which should be complete later this evening. My apologies for the lack of advanced notice. We were experiencing some system performance issues yesterday, particularly within the transaction reports, and are performing some maintenance to try and address them.
Ron, some of the data issues you're seeing are probably related to the maintenance we're performing. I'll post again once the maintenance is complete. If you are still seeing issues after that, please let me know so I can help look into it for you.

Okay, you did know about it but (oh, my) forgot to tell us about it. Has none of what we have been griping about sunk in.

Ron, it wasn't a matter of forgetting or not understanding the importance of all the communications related feedback we've received. I won't make excuses as to why this maintenance window wasn't announced in advance on ABW. However, while old reporting is still available and Analytics is still in beta, there may be some shorter maintenance windows that aren't officially announced as early as we'd like. Once we have full redundancy for Analytics, remove it from beta, and it becomes the sole source of reporting at LinkShare, we will ensure any scheduled outages are announced in advance. I recognize that Analytics is the only place you can now access payment data but all other 2005 reporting you might need should be available in the old reporting system in the event you can't access it through Analytics.
Please let me stress that this post is not meant to diminish the importance of timely communication of technology changes and issues.

Just how long are we going have to be required to use a beta system (when there should be a real system in place)? It's been months now. This is no longer beta, it is the real thing?
And really, you should not be calling it beta when you require everyone to use it. Beta should be for beta testers only. Let's either remove the Beta title or set up a system where there are real beta testers. (It's not like this has not been posted here by many people for months, yet you all just ignore it).

The maintenance should now be complete. If anyone is still experiencing issues, please let me know.
The system is still in beta because we don't have full redundancy. We are first working toward some additional memory upgrades and performance tuning before we establish full redundancy. Once full redundancy is in place, we can perform maintenance and upgrades without always bringing the system down.
To clarify your comment that we require everyone to use it. Yes, it is the only option for Merchant Payment History and Payment data as of the March payment period. However, all other 2005 transaction reports are still available in old reporting and still used by many affiliates.

This sounds like a mafia porno movie.....Sorta like the Sopornos but with white collar folks and some shifty affiliates.......in saying that....I am gonna teach you all how to come up with your very own PornStar name..
First....Take your first pets Name
Second.....Take the name of the first street you lived on
Presto.....First plus Second equals your Pornstar name..

How about making it a priority to be able to compare last years activity to this years activity.... for the same time period. Since winning the Golden Link Award I've put up new LS merchnat displays and have made $2.40 total for the effort. I'd like to know hat I made without this extra effort in 2004 and 2003 from June through Aug 17th. Is this too much to ask??Webmaster's... Mike and Charlie

Several things on Synergy Analytics already have comparisons to Last Year. That could be helpful to some, but in affiliate marketing things move so quick that I find it better to compare with Last Month. For my first year or so, I saw a pretty consistent 40% month over month gain. It's quite a bit slower than that now, but I still find it better to compare to last month (or perhaps the average of the last three months) rather than last year.

You guys do realize that affiliate marketing has changed since last year right?
Maybe its gonna take a lil itty bitty more of a different thing to make a lil itty bitty more?
Just something to ponder when you are on the crapper
August 18th, 2005, 09:19 AM #17To elaborate on Michael's post a bit, the Program Trend Analysis and Program Growth Analysis graphs (on the Network Transaction Analysis tab) are two ways you can see YOY and MOM trends. When you first go to the tab, it will default to the current quarter to date. However, you can use the navigation bar at the top to change your date selections (just be sure to hit the "go" button to the right of the date menus after all selections are made). Right now, you can select any date ranges within the same year. For example, if you change the "Quarter" menu to "All Choices" (and the year is still set to 2005) and hit go, the graphs will update to show you YTD performance this year (the bars) vs. last year (the green line). Within each individual graph, you can select different metrics by which to view the graph.
To break the Program Trend Analysis graph down for you as an example:
1-Select Year "2005" and Quarter "All Choices" (no need to select specific date ranges unless you want to) and hit "go"
2-Within the graph itself, select "Sales" and "YAGO Sales"
The results will show you a monthly breakdown of this year vs. last year's sales. You can do the same with Est. Commissions, Clicks and Orders.
Michael brings up a good point in that some affiliates may want to see YOY while others want to see MOM trends. Some affiliates have also told me they'd like to view daily run rates and forecasts or be able to identify day of week trends. As we redesign the Transaction Analysis Tab, we're trying to incorporate a few different ways of looking at the information so we address as many people's needs as possible.

I have no clue...
Diddy has found a way to make 95% of what he says have nothing to do with affiliate marketing and he uses a type of gutter language that may have been cute the first few posts but has now become rude and offensive (asking folks what their porn star name is and things to ponder while you are sitting on the crapper).
