    Criteria for datafeeds changed.
WOW they just upped the anti by ALOT if you want access to datafeeds!

    Has anyone else seen this?

Luckily I have access already otherwise I think I'd be scared away by the new requirements.

I requested to add some merchants in my data distribution and the new terms where in their automated response email. I don't know where you can access them within the cj interface...

    I just got this, but...
PLEASE NOTE FOR PRODUCT DATA FEEDS ONLY
    ---------------------------------------
Please note that a $1,000.00 integration fee and a $500.00 monthly minimum will be applied for the initial implementation of Product Catalog data transfer functionality. This fee will be applied for a feed transfer of 10,000 products or more. A $750.00 integration fee and a $250.00 monthly minimum will be applied for feed transfers of 10,000 products or less. Following this initial integration fee, no additional costs will be assessed. Please be aware if you are an advertiser who currently has a product catalog with us, no integration fee will be applied. If you are no longer interested in this additional functionality, simply do not respond to this email.
Big ouch, although this sounds like it is meant for advertisers, not publishers. Of course, that might just be wishful thinking on my part, because, um, ouch otherwise.

Yes, if you read it through it really appears to be for the merchants, not affiliates/publishers.

I wonder why they included that in emails to publishers?

Well thats good news for publishers if its for the merchants. Threw me for a loop.

So the merchant has to pay a monthly fee to have database capabilities? They get everyone from all angles don't they!

Ouch! That does sound like on the advertiser side though, not the publisher side.

Actually, it looks like I am retarded. This was higher up in the message:

Please be advised that you have requested support for an advertiser account regarding the Commission Junction Data Transfer feature. If you are not interested in this feature, please resubmit your incident within the appropriate category. By re-submitting your concern there we will be able to respond more effectively.
So the evil numbers I posted above are for advertisers, not publishers. I have resubmitted my request under Linking instead of Data Transfer (frickin poorly named categories if you ask me since I want to transfer data... grumble).

I'll let people know what I hear back if it is more than the old $200 thing.

Sounds like that's the charge for merchants. Interesting, I didn't know they charged merchants for datafeeds. I wonder if that's something relatively new.

CJ probably hawks their merchants for ala-cart services like SEO/SEM including planting feeds into comparision shopping PPCSE engines. Money honey as the acquired network data gets turned into pay me now ...or pay me later power play.

No wonder so many merchants 'in the know' offer datafeeds independently from LS... Otherwise they get .
