Wink Looking for a job? LinkShare has several openings.
Checking the LS Career link I see they currently have several job openings. An interesting note as I read all the job descriptions. Nearly all had requirements for meeting revenue goals, only one said anything about providing support for partners (and I hope that meant us affiliates, not the emerchants). Hmmmm.

    ACCOUNT MANAGER
This is the person we need to get to know. Says in their job description that they must be "Knowing and understanding the full capabilities of LinkShare Synergy? software and supporting clients' use of the tools available to them through the software." I did not know anyone could do all that. Wow!

    Quality Assurance Engineer (NYC)
Finally they are hiring someone to look for bugs!!! This person will:
Define and develop testing plans and procedures for various product lines.
Test products for functionality, usability, and bugs. Interface with System Developers and Customer Support in order to facilitate resolution of reported bugs.

    VP Of Operations (NYC)
This person scares me. Look at this one job requirement: This individual will hire, train and lead black belts and green belts in applying Six Sigma problem-solving skills...

    And the other jobs:
    Supervisor, Account Management (NYC)
LinkShare Client Development Sales Executive (NYC & CHICAGO)
Inside Sales Manager, Online Partner Distribution (NYC)
    Director Human Resources
    Account Manager (NYC)
    Business Inteligence Application Administrator (NYC)
    Unix Systems Administrator (NYC)

    Six Sigma
Maybe it's the "Dilbert" anti-establishment part of me coming out, but I think that's a large part of what's wrong with LinkShare. They're far too focused on theory and the latest trends and not focused enough on finding and meeting the needs of their customers (the merchants and affiliates).

why are you such a whiner?

you say that you barely do any business w/ LS, but you spend a lot more time here than is worth your effort. it just doesn't make sense.
You complain about communication, Kelli shows up, and then its not to your liking.

I really think M Diddy was on to something when he said you probably work for CJ. A thread like this one shows that your intents to LS are not constructive, but actually malicious. Do you expect to get 'Mr. Messer' to call you and beg for direction from you with this?

dunno if I'm the only one to see this.

    yo Diddy!

you da masta! I need to take sarcasm lessons from you!

Rock On! Don't let some nitwits ruin a good thing.
(although I think six sigma strayed a bit far from the Deming principles that are actually sound....)

Actually, Mr. Messer does email me directly and I have emailed him directly on many occasions. He even sent me a personal condolence when my dad passed away last month. I also correspond with Todd Crawford at CJ from time to time. I may appear to be a whiner to some, but I usually hit the nail on the head and management understands that. They may not like the way I keep at them, but they do listen and they do make changes. So, say what you want, but if affiliates don't keep at the networks, they will make their priority the merchants and the profits in their own network pockets. I have satisfaction in knowing I have been responsible for change and have dozens of emails from merchants and as many PM's from affiliates saying the same.

I respect you for not wanting to stand up for this cause. It is not in everyone to do this. That's okay, we are all different. I hold nothing against you. However, MDiddy has spent 95% of his time posting saying nothing about affiliate marketing and instead flaunts his gutter language. Now I find that offensive and wonder why you don't feel that is out of line, yet support him for this waste of ABW space?

The time will come when I will be less visible with LS. I used to be very vocal about CJ when they were much in the infancy like LS is now in regards to communication and consideration of affiliates. I feel they have made great strides over the last year and I rarely am critical of them (but was this week over certain matters). When LS starts putting affiliates first or at least at the same level as merchants, I will certainly back off.

What have you done lately to insure the profitable future of your network income??? I feel I have done my share and sleep very well at night, thank you. My profits are good and I am confident in my choices of networks and merchants for my future income. When LS shows they have matured, I will actively promote their merchants at my 75+ affiliate earning sites. Until then, they will get my constructive criticism. And that is really what it is.

First and foremost I am sorry for your father passing, my condolences to you and your family.......Sincerely.

Now on to the other stuff....I disagree with everything that you said, except of course for the foul stuff....thats true......

I understand that you wanna be Malcolm X of affiliate marketing.....yeah yeah Fight the power and all that stuff.....what throws me off again.....are the following three things....

    1. Why you would not take a phone call
    2. Why in the CJ forums are you like a fat drunk chick at a frat party
    3. Why do you have such a hard on for linkshare.

Just an FYI....Hollywood Steve Messer is all about shmoozing with the merchants....he's not an affiliate type of guy.......hence why Kelli is here....who I gotta admit is doing an incredible job, you should let her know....she is taking this so serious and it shows....although I am upset with her about the pornstar name thing..

This place is a great place but Ron......you are going a lil nutty with this one.

A couple months ago I too was new....and now I am tainted like Soft Cell in the eighties......Its all good as morning wood!

btw....I thought you were not gonna read my posts anymore....

    Okay, one last time, Mdiddy...

For one, I was responding to Demolition Man's post and it had nothing to do with what you said above. Unless, of course, you are disguising yourself at Demolation Man (hhhhmmm, writing looks very similar and what a nice little support network you two have).

The rest is your opinion and I stand by my claim that 95% of what you say here has little or nothing to do with affiliate marketing but more with trying to impress folks with your gutter language.

    Bye, bye!

Attacking a member qualifies as a ban warning. One time to air your beef is fine Demo, but every other post going after Ron is and will not be accepted.

BTW, a network hiring post is not a bad thing it shows that the network is growing and that is positive. It was the follow up posts that made it into a LS slam, shoot I was going to post something myself, but had the radio show to do.

What you and LS don't really appear to understand is that YES affiliate imput is important and that all the Press Releases and eloquent words don't mean boo when the PR with affiliates is in the dumps. So I'd say LS should be happy that members like Ron and Michael help with imput positive and negative ... it shows they care they could, of course, just give up on LS ... is that what they really want?

    Welcome to ABW.
