    Is it wrong when...
I am about to buy something and realize they have an affiliate program. So instead I type in that website in Google and click on an ad that is an affiliate to help them earn an extra couple bucks?

NO, it's like giving back to your affiliate brothers and sisters.

CPA is still the least expensive acquisition model and the fees are built into their margins. Making the purchase via the affiliate will only help spur more enhancements and attention as sales managers see channel increases which in turn can mean more tools and resources for the AM to offer their affiliates to earn more.

It's a symbiotic circle of growth IMO.

Ah! Well put, I didn't think of it from that angle. I supposed I'll do that more often.

I purchase through aff sites all the time, many times infact, I type in merchant name into google and go to like page 4 or 5 and click on those links and give them the sale. That's a nice motivation for the newbs and poor rankers.

I do the same thing. The price is the same whether you purchase through the merchant or through the Affiliate, so why not encourage the growth of our own industry?

I don't think it's wrong at all and I give thanks and kudos to anyone who takes the time and effort to do the same.

    Cheers,
