    Webmerge question/idea
Hi all, just registered Webmerge yesterday for a mail order site I run (not affiliate, so I'm somewhat more flexible) and use Excel to keep the data.

My first question is, is it possible to name files using a nested loop? For each product I have multiple photographs that I'd like to have on individual pages. Right now I have the html pages that display the photos named by the item number followed by the photo number. Example: AB50-1.html would be photo #1 of item AB50.

At first I was going to generate these pages from a spreadsheet with one line for each photo number. Typically each item has 4 to 8 photos, so the list would look something like:

    AB50 1
    AB50 2
    AB50 3
    AB51 1
    AB51 2
    AB51 3
    AB51 4
    AB52 1
    AB52 2

And so on. So would it be possible to generate file names in the format I gave above?

Secondly, is there a way to have a list of many items and make an index for the items on that list that only fit certain criteria? For example I have a feed which contains small, medium, and large items. But I want to make index pages for each of those categories, and I don't want to use separate Excel worksheets (some of the items will be on 2 index pages and it becomes unwieldy to manage if I have to manage separate pages with duplicat entries). I'm thinking it may be possible using [WM-If] and [WM-currentrecordnumber] tags somehow?

    Thanks,

    David

Nexus - go to Fred's tutorial (link above in his post). It has EVERYTHING (and more) you need to get started with Webmerge.

I had already read it prior to posting, but then I went back and read it again. Wow, I used it and figured out how to do the hardest part of the question above. You guys have been a great help.

    Thanks,

    David
