    Directories
I'm trying to find some good directories. After the help of a few good people in this forum and making a few needed changes to my travel site I'm also in the process of optomization ect. My site is coming on but it still suffers from beginners hiccups. If anyone can help me find the best places to advertise my site please let me know via this thread so that we can share results. bearing in mind my site is travel related and insurance will be added soon.

There isn't a best place for advertising.
If one place is good for me to advertise, it doesn't mean
that the same place is good to advertise your site.
Try to be active on different travel forums using your signature
to promote your site. Sometimes this work.

About the directories ... Submit your link in each possible
directory, especially if the submission is free.

    Jonahboy,

    Try these:
http://www.strongestlinks.com/directories.php (lists PR, free or paid)
http://www.seo-help.org/directories/ (has a downloadable CSV file of directories, paid or free and whether a recip link is necessary)
http://www.directorylist.org/ (free, paid, recip and even niche directories)
    http://www.tipsntutorials.com/Top-Directories/ (includes indexable info)

You are correct Johnboy, that is a silly/strange response. But so is your question. I made it because people here aren't going to tell you what their sweet advertising campaigns are. This is a very competitive business and you'll just have to figure those out for yourself dude.

Here's a good one for you: try Google Adsense.
