    Hi everyone!

I'm a newbe at near everything: HTML, scripts, Associate Engine. Or at least last week I was. I've got a little understanding now.

I love what I see in the instruction and on the sites of Associate Engine and really want to get it up and running.

So for the stupidest Newbe question ever:
(I have a one month key & have it in the same file as ea.pl)

I'm trying to see if I can set up a Basic2 template.

(I have ae-img in the root directory of my website. I have uploaded ae-template)

The instructions say "To use one of these basic templates, set the template.dir configuration variable to one of the following values"

My question is WHERE IS THE TEMPLATE.DIR? and How do I do this?

Sorry, for the shouting, but I'm soooo frustrated! I feel like I almost understand and then the answer slips away.

You can do it! Just keep playing with it and reading the instructions which are actually pretty thorough from Cusimano. (I know, sometimes it seems like a foreign language.)

Make one change at a time, check your results and make another until you have what you're looking for.

Unhappy I still don't Get it!
Okay, Now I know how to have a template Basic, Basic2, and Store.

But they are all defaulting to the Top Selling books, whatever.

I still don't understand how to get them to do more than that!

Where (in what files) do I put all this wonderful Associate Engine script?

How do I get this fantastic program to pull in the HTML files that I've created?

I'm sooo new to all of this, but I refuse to let it defeat me!

Go to http://www.c3scripts.com/amazon/docs.html and see each of the links in "Browse New Users Documentation" at the top.
