    Can a .asp page use an MS Access DB
    Can a .asp page use an MS Access DB w/o and other server software. I have a client that uses IIS and they want to create a store. I know they can use an access DB for product information but can it be used on a web server? If so what is the process to get it setup??

    Thanks,
    DOug

    Been a while since I used access with asp but yes it can be done.
    As I recall, I uploaded the database file and then used a dsnless connection to connect to it, similar to: Conn.Open "Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};" & _
    "Db=c:\path\mydb.mdb;"
    the dsnless connections are a bit faster and there is less involved in setting them up.
    here's a link I used before as well http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/070699-1.shtml

    Been away, now I'm back. Not as much, but I'm back & starting from scratch. Where I was, was fantastic. Where I am now, less so. Things have changed, become harder. So have I. Game ON!!!
