    datafeeds & categories
    Hi all,
I've decided to try and move into datafeed driven sites and I've been trying to work this out for a couple of days. I've read through numerous posts in the datafeed forum, but none seem to deal with this.

I've downloaded a couple of datafeeds, having seen fields called Category and SubCategory I had thought that building somekind of dynamic menu for a site would be pretty straight forward - this worked fine with some of the datafeeds. The last couple I've looked at have had generic categories and subcategories and they seemed to use Custom4 to place some sort of category list for products. This Custom4 seems to be in no kind of standard format.
Is this normal for datafeeds or am I missing something ?

    far far away....
if you are looking at shareasale feeds...most in shareasale feeds the category and subcategory cols are useless because they are for internal sharasale use... the categories and subcategories most affiliates use are located in custum1 - custom5 cols...

But I just noticed a few minutes ago that field titles are being dropped from shareasale feeds that are fetched from within your account... so just look on the far right side of the feed for categories and subcategories that are usable...

that's my2cents, 'cuz I'm a legend in my own mind....
