Where can affiliate managers discuss issues?
    Hi,
It seems like this forum is a great place for affiliates to discuss about their programs or for affiliates managers to get feedback from their affiliates, BUT I don't see as being very effective as a place for Managers to discuss affiliate program issues. Like strategies to propect and retain affiliates, advertising strategies, etc...

Is there an specific forum or site for affiliate programs managers?

    Thanks everybody

Been away, now I'm back. Not as much, but I'm back & starting from scratch. Where I was, was fantastic. Where I am now, less so. Things have changed, become harder. So have I. Game ON!!!

Why Wouldn't You Just Discuss It Here??
I Think A Lot Of Affiliates Here Have Good Experience and Have Valid Info they Could Contribute... If Your Wanting To discuss protecting and retaining affiliates, advertising strategies, etc... It would seem to me that you would want to involve your affiliates in this discussion as well...

There shouldn't be anything in those areas you would need to hide from your affiliates...

The verification process is in place to specifically keep networks and their program managers out of the discussions as well as ensuring it's for AMs only.

There's also Shawn Collins' board: http://www.affiliatemanager.net/forums/index.php.

As its name suggests it's specifically for AM's. But if you're not an AM you're not allowed in! There's some interesting stuff/people there that'll help you out if you are an AM.

Lightbulb open discussion of "possible" fraudsters
The AM forum is a place where open discussion of "possible" fraudsters can take place.

AMs can name names and URLs and ask what experience others have had with the individual or his/her technique. Not the kind of thing we would want in an open forum. Questioning someone doing something different and discovering that there is not any fraud happens from time to time. I find that AM discussions also happens via IM and that helps to keep the noise down.

As for Shawn's board, the discussion between a very few people seems to be more about marketing philosophy. Be advised that you will get quite a bit of Email from ELIZABETH G. HINES. Much of it is interesting but there a is a lot of Email - imo.

That seems like the those controlling 80% of the network merchants get excluded.

go to Andy's seminar in Miami in Late October and meet them in person - always better to know someone personally - a few close friends to share ideas with - worth a lot!

I'm a little shocked to here that about Shawn's board. It's just a board where people hang out and talk about the industry. Everyone jumps in. There is some marketing philosophy, but mostly chatter about the industry and happenings. While it's mostly merchants, there are super affiliates on there who participate and CPA Networks and others in the industry.

Never got an email from Elizabeth Hines, so I think that might not be true for everyone

Elizabeth Hines is the Editor in Chief of ADBUMb - she has nothing to do with my forum.

I get emails from AdBumb, but I signed up for them - pretty sure i did anyway...

Never had any unsolicited email from the Affiliate Manager board. However, I wouldn't mind getting emails from Shawn and many of the guys on the board, as they all know what they're talking about!
