Import HTML into excel or access
    Hi there,

I have 221 html pages with product descriptions I'm trying to get into a database. I have been banging my head against the wall trying scraper programs, import into excell or access but I can only figure out one file at a time and it splits up the data into different cells.

All I want is each page into a seperate single cell...anyone know of any "easy" solutions?

I know some php but I'm to pressed for time to try and hand code something. The prospect of cutting and pasting 221 times seems easier than writing my own solution right now(with my skill sets)

    Help please

Use a macro to cut and paste 221 times is what I would do. Macros are fast to set up.

Thats a good suggestion except I cannot get excell to paste the html into ONE cell it breaks it up into a bunch of cells.

I've searched all the help and web and I can't find a solution to consolidate the info into one cell.

Yes I did but I can't remember what I did! lol...it was awhile ago. I think I ended up using a scraper program I had on trial.

cooll Do you have any suggestion of getting content on a web site. I would like to get articles and such.. The problem with RSS feed is they redirect to another site.

    Thanks .

I wasn't scraping a site for articles or such. I had a merchant that gave me product descriptions as seperate webpages and that was my only option to get the info on my site.

There are plenty of article sites out there to get articles from for free or you can hire a copy writer to write articles if you want original content.

I use rss on some of my sites those work decent for pulling traffic for certain topics.

There's many solutions out there. I don't have a singular answer for you.
