    Front Page 2003
Ok, so I got a new computer this week and I'm struggling to understand and learn the "upgrades" for various Microsoft office apps., mmost notably Outlook and Front Page.

The FP issue is this: why can I no longer "copy/paste URLs in the enter URL box for a link?! What's with THAT upgrade? Probably one of the most important features and they remove it in an UPgrade? ARGHHHHHHH - Sure, I can use keystrokes but I don't wanna. Is there a way to turn the C/P feature back on?

Outlook mail upgrade is similarly a PITA. I can't get attachments in email, even thought I've changed the security settings to allow them.

Anybody know how to circumvent these issues?

I want my OLD computer back! LOL - Nah ... just want the old version of office back so I can work. This 2003 upgrade is is crap.
    Peace,

HA - yep, well, I'm buried in so many changes and "upgrades" I don't even want to think about switching or learning anything else at the moment.

I try to keep everything as simple as possible. I figure Outlook's here, built into the O.S., I'll use it. I did try Eudora and disliked it BIG TIME although I know plenty of people who swear by it. Haven't heard of Thunderbird.

Thunderbird is fine until you want to use a diffrent SMTP server to send mail. You have to create an SMTP server for each account and then change the default each time you use a different account It's a pain in the ass until they sort that one I'm sticking with Outlook 2003.

    For Frontpage.

Click on make link button. You'll see parameters, style and etc.

Click on parameters. When it opens paste the link into the box and click OK.

That's all there is to it.

BurgerBoy you're a life saver! That worked. I don't understand the additional step to do a basic copy/paste but I'll just have to get used to it. Now I can work faster. Thank you!

Kripes - it's still not a basic copy/paste - have to add names and values to the link to get it to paste. WTF?????? This is insane. Guess I'm stuck wiht the keystrokes to operate now. Think I'm going to reinstall FP 2002 and get back to a program that's helpful. This 2003 upgrade is a PITA hasn't done anything new that helps except allow split screen to seee code and page at the same time which, for me, is useless. Who programs this crap? GEEEEEEEESH

    Admad1,
If you go to your account settings, highlight Server Settings, Click Advanced, click SMTP tab - you can set this to be whatever you want it to be for each account.

    Hope that helps!
