    Million Dollar Idea!
I haven't seen it mentioned in ABW before so here it goes:

    http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com

A college student from UK started this site just this month selling pixels at $1 each, already sold almost 20% of his "inventory" of 1,000,000. I think it's the most clever idea I have seen in a long while. Golden Palace seems to be most dominant ad on the page so far; they love this kind of stuff.

Wow, he's made almost $200,000. Now that's impressive.

Wonder what he'll do when he depletes his "inventory"?

I've never seen this idea before. Pretty clever. Perhaps I'm a skeptic, but I doubt he's earned $200,000. It's not like he has much traffic to warrant a the cost. I know it's just a buck per pixel, but who's going to buy only ONE pixel. You need hundreds to have any visibility. Might seem cheap but I'm sure most surfers to his site are just like you and I... checking out the idea, but not clicking on links.

Hmmm, maybe I'll make a 1 BILLION pixel page... no wait... 1 TRILLION pixels!

Actually, I'm sure he has. This website has been getting a lot of coverage and his traffic has been gaining substancially each week because of the high level of PR it has recieved from large websites.

This was posted in his blog EIGHT days ago:

So the total is a whopping 64,500 pixels sold.
    Today: 205k pixels sold.

Thats over 100k he has made this past week.

That website has received a ton of PR, even newspaper articles, etc. Just check it out in his http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/press.php press section, with links to some of the articles.

And by the way: his alexa stats are very good! He is on the movers & shakers list on position 4 right now and has these stats:

Weekly Traffic Rank: 878 (was 1,831)

Easy ideas are the most complicated to find. I wonder if I start a page like this, starting with affiliates logo by default to show that big advertisers used this services, if any one will not see the trick? Of course I would have to do some PPC with something like "cheap advertising" as keyword. Someone have money to do this? I'll make the design :P (just kidding...or not).

Well if anyone is (perhaps) foolish enough to pay to advertise on the site, now's the time to do it while the idea is hot, and people are visiting the site.

I'd hate to be the guy buying the one-millionth pixel.

Panda Software bought some real estate, if I'm correct they are a member here at ABW. I was sure I saw another ABW merchant/member listed too.

The letters R mean that space is reserved, there are some big reserved blocks towards the top of the page.
