    Data feeds
    how do you handle the new datafeeds form.
    There are no ctegories in the feed. Or is it just me?

    I just saw that too with a couple of datafeeds that I just downloaded. They used to be categorized very well, now they're practically useless.

    In this case, it helps to use a database process.

    Step 1:
    Have the older feed in a table
    Step 2:
    Load the new feed in a different table
    Step 3:
    Run a query to update category (and anything else that looks screwy) by product ID
    Step 4:
    Switch datatables to make the new feed live.

    I wish I didn't have to do that, but that's life.
