This question is a general server issue and applies to all of the internet. It is not specific to our scripts. Ignore 304; consider it the same as "200 OK" status.

HTTP status code "304 Not Modified" means that the webpage has not changed since the requestor (user or search engine spider) last fetched that same webpage. Status 304 typically appears with a HEAD request. For efficiency, the requestor can ask if the webpage has changed since some date; if it has then status 200 is returned; if not then status 304 is returned. It's more efficient to send a result code (just a few bytes) rather than the entire webpage (could be megabytes) when the webpage hasn't changed.

See section "10.3.5 304 Not Modified" of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1 specification.
