Question I need to learn how to use datafeeds
I know they are all the rage but, somehow I am missing the boat on how to make datafeeds work on my sites. Is there a REAL tutorial abc's for this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Regards

Try the datafeed forum. (Hint scroll down the forum list or search datafeed, datafeed tutorial, etc) Hope this helps

wait for it ... wait for it ... any second now someone will pop up and say gee, couldn't you be more helpful? Just like the last time ... and the time before that ... and the time before that ... and so on ... and so on ...

Been away, now I'm back. Not as much, but I'm back & starting from scratch. Where I was, was fantastic. Where I am now, less so. Things have changed, become harder. So have I. Game ON!!!

I think webmerge is the fastest and easiest way to use datafeeds... Here's their site at: http://www.fourthworld.com/ .

I just use a combination of PHP & mySQL when hacking around with the datafeeds -- for the most part the feeds on SAS are pretty good. Sometimes I wish the product names would be more descriptive (a few affiliates use unique IDs, but not unique product names) and some affiliates put their product ID as a prefix to the product name (makes lists not as pretty).

You really did land in the right place though; of all the "networks" I deal with, SAS has the best feeds.

I'd say if you have alot of time to learn go with PHP & mySQL (I tried this route it took to long plus to do it right you need a webhost/server that supports PHP & mySQL) but if You want to get datafeeds emplimented fast go with webmerge.

Also, these two free programs will help you in your endever: OpenOffice and CSVed... Do a search for them here at: http://www.bjorgul.com/ ... With webmerge, these two progs, and an html editor you have everthing you need.
