    Welcome to ABW, flossyboy! :

Set aside some time for reading, make a list of questions you have, and start doing searches. You'll likely find answers to most of your questions here. In fact, there's so much info, it will take you some time to absorb it all.

    Name Origin
The name came with the territory of being a hip hop artist. A "flosser" was a person that had the nice shiny chrome wheels on the car, had the nice "blingy" jewelry, ......pretty much that overated lifestyle.

But now I just produce music for other hip hop & r-n-b artist around the world, but I sorta branded that name with all the music forums and boards, so I gotta stick with it.

I got out the US Army this past december(2004) and every since then I've been working at the affiliate marketing. I started making ends meet with it and now I'm starting to get into being a merchant selling memberships to my website for originally produced music for commercial and demo purposes.

I've registered with clickbank, but I wanted to know how SAS compares? From my reading they pretty much only handle the affiliate side of things, where Clickbank handles the affiliate side of things plus paying the affiliate.

    Do I have this right?

SAS does the same thing that Clinkbank does but they do it better.

If you go to SAS you will probably have a lot of affiliates wanting to sign up with your program.

SAS pays the affiliates for you and with SAS we get the payment when we're suppose to - not months after, or years after, or never..........

SAS has a forum here if you would like to visit it. http://forum.abestweb.com/forumdisplay.php?f=65

Sounds like SAS is the place to be.

One thing I don't understand is why you need to have money on-hand for deposit for paying the affiliates. Do they not just take the profits from sales and divvy them up and cut checks?(similar to clickbank)?

Sounds like you need to ask Brian at Shareasale for the specifics . . . but, in my opinion, the sales would be going through your merchant account with your bank.
