LOL - Oh yea Hong Kong Phooey!
Back in the day when cartoons were "SPECIAL" as in they only came on - on Saturday morning.. something special to look forward to when your a kid.. now they are on 24/7 so they are not AS special anymore..

Saturday mornings on the floor in front of the tube.. in my jammies..
eatin some cereal full of sugar.. then about noon when the cartoons were over going out and getting on my Big Wheel for a race around the driveway! No Worries at all..
Those were the days.. ahhh seems like a lifetime ago.. because it WAS!!
    LOL

Not what I was expecting either.. I sort of had an image of Dr. Evil. For some reason I imagined he was bald.

The Dog's name was "Brain" I remember sitting with my kids watching endless episodes of I.G. - I even liked it. Featured the voice of the recently departed Don Adams too. Penny and Brain figured everything out.

What about Dangermouse and his sidekick "penfold?"

Big Wheel? I'm not even sure Mattel was around when I was doing the jammie/sugar/toon thing on the living room floor. But I did have an authentic tricycle made of steel, hard rubber tires and sharp edges! No kid today would survive the real thing, or so they tell us!

I'm talkin' 60s toons here, in Black & White! NBC hadn't even coined the phrase "In Living Color" at that time

Since we're getting onto the subject of other cartoons I just have to mention my childhood favorite, Duck Tales!! I love that show, watched every single episode. Another favorite was the GoBots - I don't know why I liked them over the Transformers.

I can't believe that a thread about Saturday morning cartoons has gone on this long without the mention of the Looney Toons. Bugs Bunny, Wile E. Coyote, Sylvester and Tweety. I could go on and on.

In my day the only thing getting blown up in a cartoon was Wile E. Coyote and a faulty ACME bomb.

    Nothing will ever top that!!
