    Talking Rainbow are the best
Yup, after a day working at home and being a "working dad at home" there's nothing like a bit of prancing around the living room rocking to Rainbow.

    Geez, Chris!

I hadn't thought about Rainbow in a darned long time! Richie Blackmore, right?

A recent discovery on iTunes that I'm VERY proud of...

Guess I'm still stuck back in the George Thorogood era. Who or what is Rainbow?

LOL! Pretty much the same era, Webworker.

If I remember correctly, Rainbow was around during the late '70's/early '80's. They played hard rock and were led by Richie Blackmore after he had departed Deep Purple. I believe their biggest hit was a sellout, kinda melodic song called Stoned Cold, or something like that.

Yikes! Maybe my headbanger days took over and I was assuming too much! Mabye Chris was, indeed, talking about something else.

My headbanging days just started again! I am hooked on "Hair Nation" on Sirius. It is on my puter 24/7, you would be surprised how much work you can get done when you are blasting music while on the puter

I am glad to see you finally escaped the Santa Barabara Airport

Cripes.... I though everyone listened to Rainbow! Yes Ritchie Blackmore and Elf, preference for th early stuff, Rainbow Rising and The first album (RBR).... wouldn't call it hard rock though, when I want that I break out the Iron Maiden, AC/DC and Saxon.... finish the night off with some early Whitesnake

Lucky my wife isn' here to see me and Baeng getting down to some serious headbanging

    Saxon -
I haven't heard that name in years. Hmmm might be a good niche to start the Saxon Fan club website.

Funny I just did some Saxon surfing (they already have a niche site) and it seems they were suppose to play in new york sometime soon but had to cancel due to the lead singers house burning down.

Chris, that's the greatest, it's the kind of thing those precious, fun childhood memories are made of.

When my daughter was around 6 or 7 a neighbor gave her some great big cheerleading pompoms. My Mom (close to 60-ish at the time) put one on her head and started blasting out Tina Turner songs, stage moves and all. The kid literally fell down laughing. The greatest memories she has are having fun times with her Grandma, kids don't forget those.

Especially for a girl, time with Dad is something special. I remember my Dad taking me on day long jaunts to the auction sales around New York and then to the little out-of-the-way greasy spoon restaurants he always liked. Very special times I'll never forget.

    Good for you!!

    Ahhh... yes!

July 4th, 1982. Saxon, Krokus and Cheap Trick at the Erie County Fieldhouse. A VERY odd mix of fans. You had everyone from the biker gangs there to see Saxon to the teenie bopper girls there to see Cheap Trick.

Hey! NY Falcon -- OK... I've made the connection.
