    ShareAsale or Clickbank?
I was looking at a few affiliate networks. CJ and Linkshare don't even post pricing on their website what it costs to be a merchant but I guess they are expensive. So would you recommend ShareAsale or Clickbank? Maybe there are other alternatives?

Depends what you're selling. SAS is good for physical, mailed products. Clickbank only accepts merchants who sell downloadable products.

    Hi Rexanne,

It's a membership we're selling, not a tangible product. AFAICT SAS accepts both.

I was just looking at http://www.clickxchange.com/ and their standard merchant account costs $500 + a minimum escrow of another $500. But I ask myself if the number of affiliates is a good factor to decide which network to choose?

If it's a digital product, ClickBank is the best in that vertical. For anything else (with a smaller merchant), I would recommend ShareASale.com. CJ and LinkShare are definitely far more expensive.

Regnow (part of Digital River) handles various digital products. They have an affiliate network.

Also there's software to handle memberships/subscriptions (e.g. www.amember.com), but then you'd have to add on your own affiliate software (in-house) and I think you were looking for a network.

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers,
    Peter
