    Viewing Products Sold
I'm sorry if this sounds dumb, but I have never seen what I've actually sold on CJ. Am I missing something? I am a bit dense when it comes to getting around CJ reporting, so I'm not sure if I just haven't looked in the right place. Can someone tell me how (if at all) I can see what I've actually sold?

    Thanks!

    L

I have never seen what I've actually sold on CJ.
    Hope you sold something.
    The easiest:
Go to CJ home page on the right
    Quick Tasks
    Today's Tasks

    Click on: Review new transactions.
    you end up on

    Publisher Home Commission Summary
You should see your earning for every day

For more details click on "the day of you choice" anyway you're going to the same page (it's an other bug)
Commission Detail Report by Event Date for Event Date from 13-Sep-2005 to 13-Oct-2005
Use the "Modify Query" option to select the period:
One day is great, decide to use "Posted" or "Event"

    Here you are:

Be informed today their reports are not in synch AT ALL
Summary reports doesnt match details reports, yr balance may be out of synch, too.

    Enjoy!

Thanks Zeus, but I'm still not seeing actual products. I get the sale amount, id number, the ad clicked, but not the actual items purchased...

You mean SKU, you need to check for advanced Sale in the Commission Detail Report, click on "detail" far right, you'll see:
    Item Based Action History
    SKU Amount Quantity Posting Date
So you know what was sold. It works only for merchants using this feature.

I've SID for all my links so I know where the original click was initiated and likely what the customer bought.

On the Commission Detail Report the last 3 columns are
SID, it's what I'm using. You have to use yr own coding
ID then Detail, it's the last column, click on it and you'll see:
    Action Detail
    Action History
    and, Item Based Action History
That's where you'll find the SKU and you need to use your datafeed to match with the product name and description.

    Lisa,
You have to have your links coded to include the SID. At the end of your link, add
    &SID=whateveryouwant
if the URL already has a question mark in it.
If it does not have a question mark in it, add
    ?SID=whateveryouwant
There is no way to tell exactly what was sold, but you can tell what link they clicked to get to the merchant.

Zeus, this is exactly what I get when I follow what you said - and this is the format for all sales I've made regardless of merchant.

    Aha! Thank you, Scott!

I have never used the SID feature. I guess I should...

I find it annoying that I can't see what products I'm selling. Bah!

Well you're missing the last few rows under action history:
    Item Based Action History

    SKU Amount Quantity Posting Date
    732230 $149.95 USD 1 13-Oct-2005 10:45 PDT

But, this is true only for Advanced Sales, it's not sales for advanced affiliates but a feature more and more merchants are using to report the SKU of what was sold.

If it's a normal sale it doesn't work.

It's more work for the Affiliate. It's coming from an other crazy CJ update between CJ6 and CJ7, before we didn't have to code the SID, the reports were showing in clear what was sold but CJ wanted more room on their servers to accomodate more parasites.
It's not necessary anymore for merchants using "Advanced Sales"

I don't suppose there is a 'quick and dirty' way to know what merchants use "Advance Sales"...?

That's a good question and I don't have the answer. I've not heard CJ talking much about these "Advanced Sales"
As you are cooking your bradwurst, I can tell you cooking.com is one of the merchant using "Advanced Sales"
I looked at their Cooking.com Detail Page and I don't see it mentioned.
