    For Your Privacy Policy
I thought I might as well make some lemonade out of the lemons and place a referal to http://www.webopedia.com/DidYouKnow/...02/Cookies.asp in my privacy policy (I am not affiliated with this site in any way by the way).

Perhaps we could use this as an opportunity to educate people on cookies and reverse some of the fear created by some of the anti-virus anti-spyware applications.

I think most users don't care about cookies and most users are only deleting cookies because of all the spyware programs we are telling them to download to stop parasites.

And how many people do you think actually read a sites privacy policy?

Not many I am sure. But there seems to be a big fear that if we have to address cookies, what they are, and how to remove them (as required by CJ), then we will possibly lose sales.

I think that maybe we could use this as an opportunity to educate at least a few people to the fact that cookies are not harmful in the vast majority of applications and are not something you want to disable.

Companies like CJ require a privacy policy because it is federal law to have one.

My privacy policy on my site and terms of service get the least hits and 99% of all the hits they get are bots lol

I have a privacy policy on all of my sites and they never get hits except by bots either.

I've had them for 5 years now.

I am surprised CJ hasn't made a javscript with a generic policy for everyone to use. A lot of the ad agencies I work with have generic ones where you just slap a java script and you get a really long privacy policy
