    I'm feeling mean today!
    Grrrr!!!

I have about 10 more pounds to lose. Last year I did South Beach Diet and lost a lot of weight. I decided to finally start it up again to drop the last bit, and I am already going ballistic! I had forgotten how hard the first couple of days are on this diet. The payoff is worth it, but I feel like yelling at small children, old people, and pixies!

    Sorry...had to vent!

( EC discreetly ducks outta slapping distance, then flees the thread in terror..... ) Good luck with the diet, I need to do one as well.
Following everyone else is a GREAT way to become average.

Well, in the long run then you will be Mean and Lean.

    Hang in there!

I keep thinking daily I should move all that junk off of the treadmill and get fit. Exercise is the only diet that works for me. I can't give up the things I like to eat.

I need to diet and quit cigarettes both.

I'm afraid if I try both at the same time that I will be so mean that my wife would kill me.

Yeah, those are the worst two to do at the same time (I know). Instead, quit the cigs and buy elastic pants. In a few months when the physical addiction is gone, then do the diet.

Better yet, quit the cigs and take up walking. The endorphins from a brisk walk actually helps reduce the cig cravings. Oh, they say sex is a good deversion too, but my wife did not buy that one when I quit many years ago. ;-)

I just hope you threw away that cage or we all could be in trouble LOL!

Kudos on the Diet, AM adds lbs and not just in the wallet/purse.

PS. Just say "NO" to pixie violence!

"AM adds lbs and not just in the wallet/purse."

AM can give you a fat ass and a fat wallet

I've actually lost all my AM weight got up to 220 from about 185, now down to 188. It's calories, calories in, calories out. I just watched that and still could eat whatever i want, just no so much

I think that AM also adds mental disease from the stress and tension we go through sometimes.

That and all of the spam.

LMAO! Thanks everyone. You're always good for a laugh!

But those damn pixies are so annoying, with the twitchy wings and cute noses!!!

I need to do the exercise thing too...but I am so out of shape, and never get a break from the boy. I can just imagine trying to exercise with Karl around.... Yikes! It's ashame too. We have a bowflex just taking up space, but I just can't carve enough time out of the day to use it.

I used to be able to bench 100 lbs - now I'm out of breath from carrying a two year old through the store. I feel so old!

    BB,

Couldn't have said it better, I also think that since we do also w*rk seven days a week there is no weekends off so the frying factor is really accentuated.

Nah...I mean my son. Husband is always at work, so he doesn't get in my way. I just wish he could take our son with him. I'd get a lot more done! And about the mental illness thing...I personally am the perfect picture of mental health!

Saw a girl we know yesterday who was competing in her swim teams first meet of the season.
She said her team was a little sore from the 6 km swim they had the day prior.

I told her I get tired if I drive 6km I'm so out of shape.
She laughed and said I was funny.

    I wasn't kidding

Been away, now I'm back. Not as much, but I'm back & starting from scratch. Where I was, was fantastic. Where I am now, less so. Things have changed, become harder. So have I. Game ON!!!

I lost 5 pounds this week, although I wouldn't recommend the method. I was really sick.

Feeling better, thanks, but still in the random coughing fit phase.

I tried the atkins thing a little while back when I was just about 10 lbs over what I wanted, I got really cranky though, and I'd rather be heavy then cranky.

Then I went to a personal trainer for a month (a really good one, had his own gym and was a professional weightlifter, don't get fooled by the weekend course people). He showed me how to do the excercises right, and told me what to eat (and checked what I ate through a journal). I lost 5 lbs in the month, then stopped going cause it was really pricey, but I kept doing what he said and ended up losing 20 lbs in 3 months! So I had to gain back 10 lbs to get where I wanted to be (that was fun).

It's good to hear you care about your health!

    Haiko,

I need a . LOL. My hubby and I get free haircuts whenever my mom comes to town. She's a retired beautician. Fortunately, she'll be here in a few weeks.

Anyway, hopefully after I kick this cold, I can shed a few pounds a more healthy way. Sitting at a computer all day (both at work and home) does not burn enough calories.

Oh, I'm horrible with haircuts. My stylist says come back in six weeks and three months later, I walk in looking like a deranged poodle.

I just started cutting Karl and hubby's hair with a Wahl clipper set though. I'm doing pretty well actually...haven't made either of them look like Alfalfa yet.
