    180Solutions cuts staff
180solutions Inc., a private Bellevue company that delivers online pop-up advertisements, has cut about 50 employees, the company said Thursday.

The 20 percent staff reduction includes those in sales, marketing and development and leaves 190 to 200 employees, said spokesman Sean Sundwall. The cuts come as its user base remains flat and high revenue growth slows.

Normally I'm sorry to hear about staff reductions and layoffs, but in this case I'm not. I try to think about the people involved who are now looking for jobs, but they must have known that they were walking a tightrope.

I hope they all find new jobs with good companies that don't rely on the efforts of others to succeed.

Aw thats too bad. It's good tho for the employees to have their resumes polished up. That type of adware is just bound to implode sooner or later.

Since January, 180solutions has ended relationships with about 500 of its 8,000 to 10,000 distributors and has sued some of them.
If they cut 20% of their staff for a cut of 5% of their distributors, it means they had some top performers to infest our customers PC with a real impact on our income.
I feel sorry for the employees but it was pretictable and some of them were as bad as their boss.

Being positive, I am sure many of those Cut never really knew the technology part of their business, or the effects. Perhaps some were customer service, etc. Hope the honest ones find good jobs now.

    Good riddance.

They'll probably have to make something up for their resumes though - something a bit more socially acceptable - pig wanker perhaps.
